Original Post: Editorial Submission from B Martin.

The following was received this morning as a news tip-off from Wellington Scoop reader B. Martin. Scoop has not verified the story yet but will endeavour to do so Scoop has asked B Martin to send in a more detailed description of what she saw, timing details plus some photographic evidence of the ETs.

The following is the submission from B. Martin as received:

"Subject: GENUINE close encounter experience with extraterrestrial intelligence.
During the recent UFO sighting in Wellington on Christmas Day, two starships were above our house for 10 minutes. Please find attached a video link of some of the footage. I even have photographic evidence of several extra-terrestrial beings on film. These are some of the most important recordings you will ever see. I've put it on YouTube and have also attached some photos as well, should you wish to print them.

Update #1 - Moments after publication: Wellington Scoop editor Lindsay Shelton has pointed out that when you listen to the audio someone can be heard saying "Its a f**king Chinese Lantern. You light them up and they go up into the sky". [Editor's Note:This would appear to be a satisfactory explanation for the phenomena as reported. However Scoop is temporarily suspending disbelief till we hear back from B. Martin to whom we have sent a bunch of further questions.

It appears Stuff is also following the story of multiple Chinese Lantern/UFO sittings. Their report features a second video which is much more obviously Chinese Lanterns (See… STUFF: 'UFO sightings' in Wellington and Taranaki ):

Published on Dec 25, 2012 Recorded on December 25, 2012 using a Flip Video camera. I think they are Chinese lanterns but they ended up VERY high and were changing colour now and again [Editor's Note: in the "Its a f**king Chinese Lantern" video you will notice that the light darts about the sky a bit randomly.

This WORLD FIRST *sui generis* footage is the definitive backbreaker of the UFO cover-up that continues to this day.
An orange UFO at first appears in extremely close proximity to the observer when, at 00.05 seconds through the recording, an apparently extraterrestrial being appears from the top of centre screen, only to dematerialise as it proceeds upward.
This green-skinned humanoid being wearing a white space suit (of some description) seems to blow the lid off the whole issue once and for all PROVING the existence of highly evolved interstellar beings visiting the Earth.
EXPOSING the deep reality of a highly orchestrated cover-up.
Professional scientists and expert video analysts (and forensics) are encouraged to study the content of this recording for authenticity.
