House Powers Through Third Readings |

Bills covering marine regulations, parallel importing of films and local government organisation rules were passed into law this evening.
MPs completed the third reading of the Maritime Transport Amendment Bill split into two bills.
The Maritime Transport Amendment Bill passed on a voice vote and the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects) Amendment Bill passed with Labour, Maori Party and Mana opposed.
The Copyright (Parallel Importing of Films) Amendment Bill passed its third reading by 103 to 15 with the Greens, Mana and Brendon Horan opposed.
The Local Government (Auckland Council) Amendment Bill (No 2) also passed its third reading on a voice vote.
The House rose at 10pm after completing the third reading debate on the Administration of Community Sentences and Orders Bill on a voice vote.
