It's a measure of the times we live in that neither the media nor New Zealanders in general seem worried that parliament can 'remove' rights supposedly guaranteed under our Bill of Rights. Prisoners are themselves victims of a serious constitutional crime. Given our noble history of women's suffrage, it's amazing no women have spoken up on behalf of women prisoners.
