Business Statement

The Government will give priority to welfare and immigration bills next week.

Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said when the House sat next Tuesday the Government would seek to progress the Social Security Amendment Bill (No 3) and the Immigration Amendment Bill (No 2) and other bills. Wednesday would be a Members Day.

A petition was presented asking the House to repeal the Minimum Wage (Starting-out Wage) Amendment Act.

2013/14 Annual review of the Independent Police Conduct Authority by the Law and Order Committee

2013/14 Annual review of the Ministry for Culture and Heritage by the Government Administration Committee

2013/14 Annual review of the New Zealand Police by the Law and Order Committee

2013/14 Annual review of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand by the Finance and Expenditure Committee

2013/14 Annual review of the Treasury and Half-Year Economic and Fiscal Update, December 2014 by the Finance and Expenditure Committee

2013/14 Annual review of Transpower New Zealand Limited by the Finance and Expenditure Committee
