Prisoner on the run after escaping custody at Hutt Hospital
A man is on the run after escaping custody while at Hutt Hospital this morning

Corrections said the man took off from custodial staff during a hospital appointment.
It is now working with the police to locate him.
Prisoners are escorted to hospital for assessment or treatment for serious concerns, said Corrections.
