Parliament Resumes Extended Hours
Parliament began sitting at 9am this morning under extended sitting provisions to consider a number of non-controversial bills.
By agreement of the Business Committee, MPs will first debate the committee stage of the Social Assistance (Living Alone Payments) Amendment Bill.
This will be followed by the first reading of the Māori Television Service (Te Aratuku Whakaata Irirangi Māori) Amendment Bill, and the second readings of the Medicines Amendment Bill, Natural Health Products Bill and the Administration of Community Sentences and Orders Bill.
MPs will sit until 1pm or when the business is completed.
