When Parliament resumed Prime Minister John Key made a personal explanation correcting an answer to a question a fortnight ago.

Key said in response to a question that the head of the GCSB had been appointed by the State Service Commissioner, he should have said that the appointment was made by him on the recommendation of the Commissioner.
