After Midnight - The House Rises

The House rose at midnight interrupting the first reading debate of the Land Transport and Road User Charges Legislation Amendment Bill

Earlier MPs completed the committee stage and third reading of the Financial Markets Conduct Bill by 104 to 16 with the Greens, Mana and Brendon Horan opposed.

The first reading of the Student Loan Scheme Amendment Bill (No 3) was completed by 61 to 59 with National, ACT and United Future in favour. The bill was referred to the Finance and Expenditure Committee for consideration.

The House will resume tomorrow at 9am.
