Members’ Night

MPs will debate Members’ bill when Parliament sits today.

After Question Time and the General Debate, a private bill sponsored by Te Ururoa Flavell will receive its first reading.

The New Zealand Mission Trust Board (Otamataha) Empowering Bill transfers land in Tauranga and other property from the New Zealand Mission trust to the Otamataha Trust.

This will be followed by the committee stage of the Conservation (Natural Heritage Protection) Bill, the first reading debates of the Summary Offences (Possession of Hand-held Lasers) Amendment Bill, Sentencing (Protection of Children from Criminal Offending) Amendment Bill and the Social Security (Clothing Allowances for Orphans and Unsupported Children) Amendment Bill.
