Govt Agenda After Two Week Recess


When Parliament resumed at 2pm MPs, agreed to a motion congratulating Team NZ on their efforts in their unsuccessful campaign to win the America’s Cup.

Deputy Leader of the House Anne Tolley said next week would be the start of a two week adjournment, after this the Government intended to make progress on the Marine Legislation Bill, the Copyright (Parallel Importing of Films) Amendment Bill, Local Government (Auckland Transitional Provisions) Amendment Bill (No 2) and the Telecommunications (Interception Capability and Security) Bill.

Reports were tabled on non-departmental outputs, the performance of the compulsory school sector, and the annual report of Standards NZ.

Petition 2011/63 of Stephen Manson on behalf of the New Zealand Anti-Vivisection Society by the Health Committee
