A Flood Of Reports

A large number of reports were presented when Parliament resumed at 2pm.

Amongst them were the annual reports of the Crown Law Office, Ministry of Transport, Parliamentary Counsel Office, Accident Compensation Corporation, Callaghan Innovation, Internal Affairs, Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority, Government Superannuation Fund Authority and Government Superannuation Fund, Auditor-General, and Quotable Value Limited.

Ministers also presented a Report in relation to selected Non-Departmental Appropriations for the year ended 30 June 2013 by Vote Canterbury Earthquake Recovery, the Financial Statements of the Government of New Zealand, for the year ended 30 June 2013, and the Government Response to Report of the Māori Affairs Select Committee briefing on Damien and George Nepata and their entitlement to compensation.

Select committee reports were presented on the:
Health and Safety (Pike River Implementation) Bill by the Transport and Industrial Relations Committee,
Petition 2011/75 of Brendan Horan and 3,653 others by the Primary Production Committee,
Complaint about two notices made by the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board relating to an offences fee and the Complaint regarding the Offences Fee contained in the Amendment to the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (Fees) Notice 2010 by the Regulations Review Committee,
Investigation into the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Reclamation Fees Regulations 2012 by the Regulations Review Committee,
Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s Monetary Policy Statement, September 2013 by the Finance and Expenditure Committee,
Social Housing Reform (Housing Restructuring and Tenancy Matters Amendment) Bill by the Social Services Committee,
Briefing on the International Criminal Court and the Kampala Amendment on the Crime of Aggression by the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee,
Subordinate Legislation (Confirmation and Validation) Bill (No 2) by the Regulations Review Committee.

A number of bills were introduced including the Veterans' Support Bill, Immigration Amendment Bill (No 2), Ngati Haua Claims Settlement Bill.
