Legislative Programme To Be Outlined

When Parliament resumed at 2pm, Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said when the House next sits on November 5 the Government would seek to progress the Members of Parliament (Remuneration and Services) Bill. A draft outline of the remaining legislative programme for the year would be provided to other parties in next week’s adjournment.

Brownlee said there was a possibility of urgency towards the end of the upcoming penultimate three week session.

The annual report of the Commerce commission was presented as was the Financial Markets Authority’s KiwiSaver report.

The Healthy Homes Guarantee Bill –and Underground Coal Mining Safety Bill were introduced.

MPs then began Question Time.
