A bill intended to prevent people from sitting on more than
one local board on the Auckland Council was drawn from the
Members Ballot today.
The Local Government (Auckland Council)
Amendment Bill (No 3) in the name of Maggie Barry seeks
to close a loophole in the current legislation that permits
candidates to serve as members on 2 or more local boards at
the same time.
