Electoral Changes To Get Third Reading
The Government intends to complete the passage of electoral law changes when Parliament sits today.
After Question Time, MPs are scheduled to return to the interrupted third reading debate on the the Electoral Amendment Bill.
The bill is mainly a “tidy up” of electoral law, though changes made in the committee stage which require a voter to affirm their identity beyond presenting an easy vote card means it is opposed by Labour.
Following this MPs will turn to the second reading debates on the Victims' Orders Against Violent Offenders Bill and the Land Transport and Road User Charges Legislation Amendment Bill.
