Petitions And Papers

When Parliament resumed at 2pm two petitions were presented.

The Petition of Daphne Taylor on behalf of Save Fiordland Incorporated and 18,128 others asking the House ensure the protection of Te Wahipounamu, the South West New Zealand World Heritage area by preventing construction of the Riverstone Holdings Ltd monorail and the Petition of Jane Bruning and 29 others asking the House call on the Government to provide subsidised access to a variety of female condoms in New Zealand so that women are able to take responsibility for their own sexual health.

The Government Response to Report of the Māori Affairs Committee on Inquiry into the Determinants of Wellbeing for Tamariki Māori, Law Commission report on Suicide Reporting and the Treasury's Investment Statement: Managing the Crown's Balance Sheet were all presented.
