Members’ Day

Members’ bills are set to be debated this evening.

Following Question Time and the General Debate, MPs will first deal with the third reading of a private bill – the New Zealand Mission Trust Board (Otamataha) Empowering Bill, and the first reading of a local bill – the Christchurch City Council (Rates Validation) Bill.

This will be followed by the second reading of the Summary Offences (Possession of Hand-held Lasers) Amendment Bill in the name of Cam Calder and then the second reading of the Parental Leave and Employment Protection (Six Months' Paid Leave) Amendment Bill in the name of Sue Moroney.
