New Party Takes The MP, But Not The Money |
||
Parliament began today with the official announcement that there was a new party in Parliament - Christian Heritage.
The move follows the former Alliance MP, Frank Grover, who has been wandering without a political home for some time, announcing he was formerly becoming a part of that party.
Alliance leader, Jim Anderton, tried to make
fun of Christian Heritage and then following a question from
Micheal Cullen, the Speaker said that Mr Grover had informed
him that he would not be seeking Parliamentary funding along
the lines received by Mana Wahine leader, Alamein
Kopu.
