Scoop Images: Swing Low Sweet Chariot (OFFENSIVE) |
||
READERS NOTE - WARNING: The following image is offensive and not particularly sporting. After consulting internally and considering blanking out the offensive words we have decided to use it at is. Consider yourself warned if you choose to view.
The references – in case they are not obvious – are to the use of the English Rugby team’s unoffical theme song “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” which is to be sung – officially - by the crowd at Twickenham (but not led by a singer) after some debate.
Further Background: A CD has been released recently by a group known as the “unofficial World Cup rugby supporters” which takes a light hearted (and coarse) view of English rugby supporters, their team and their unofficial theme song.
