Watson Gets Extended Non Parole Sentence |
||
In the Wellington High Court this morning Justice Heron agreed with the Crown that double murderer Scott Watson should have his minimal non-parole period extended to 17 years.
Heron said Watson’s crime was a horrible and random killing which had all the signs of the actions of a lone psychopath.
He said Watson had not only snuffed out two young lives but he had also ruined the lives of family and friends of the young couple and had outraged the public of New Zealand.
As Justice heron gave his ruling the family of Watson left the Court shouting abuse at the judge.
Watson also shouted at the judge saying the trial was a farce.
