ISRAEL: At least 49 people have died in violence in Isael and the occupied territories. The violence started following a visit to the Temple Mount by Ariel Sharon.

FLOODS: Civil Defence n Wanganui says a flood surge in the Whanaganui river is not topping stop bankc.

INDIAN FLOODS: Indian officials say the death doll in West Bengal floods is now over 900. Bangladesh is also having serious problems.

OZONE HOLE: The latest measurement of the Ozone hole has found that it contains even less Ozone than before.
