Multiple deaths in hot air balloon crash

Multiple fatalities have been confirmed in the crash of a hot air balloon at Clareville, near Carterton, in the Wairarapa, this morning.

First reports were received by Police at 0726.

Wellington District Communications Manager Victoria Davis is on her way to the scene and will issue more information as it becomes available.
