1. MISSING GIRL - The Auckland police say concerns for a missing seven year old girl grow every hour that she is not found.

2. ESCAPEE - The police are investigating a sighting last night of an escaped prisoner from Paremoremo prison who is described as extremely dangerous.

3. RIVER OWNERSHIP - A Waitangi Tribunal report which will address the controversial issue of river ownership is to be released in Wanganui today.

4. POTTER - Bert Potter is refusing to leave the Centrepoint community despite being ordered to do so as he is breaching his parole conditions.

5. ACC DEATH - Labour's social welfare spokesman says the death of an ACC worker is a wake up call for all welfare agencies.

6. EAST TIMOR - Leader's of rival factions in East Timor have again said they are willing to find a way to end the violence that has delayed a referendum on independence.
