1. PARLIAMENT - Party leaders Jenny Shipley and Helen Clark faced off at the end of term debate in Parliament. Among the issues on which they clashed was that of MPs who defect to other parties.
2. TRAIN CRASH - British
investigators are due to release their first report into the
London train disaster tomorrow, it is thought the final
death toll will be around 130 people.
3. TRAIN CRASH
- New Zealanders living in London are mourning two of their
countrymen who died in the crash as the dead men's relatives
prepare to visit Britain.
4. LOMU - The
Mid-Canterbury community is being asked to donate money to
buy Johah Lomu for their local club - the amount needed is
$1.5 million.
