Reports Damn Legislation – Says Prebble

The critical reports from Treasury on the Employment Relations Bill back up feedback from employers in New Zealand's main centres, ACT leader Richard Prebble said today.
"These reports back up what ACT is being told by employers," Mr Prebble said. He and other ACT MPs have spoken to nearly 500 employers at seminars on the radical Bill in the last week.
"Employers will face huge changes to their business - from increased employee costs, more work stoppages, and union power being promoted by law," Mr Prebble said.
"These reports, their criticism of the Bill, and the lack of an electoral mandate for this dangerous legislation all mean the government needs to seriously reassess their labour relations strategy."
