Opposition condemns overthrow in Fiji
The Opposition is appalled at the overthrow of the constitutional Government in Fiji and supports the Government's call for the return of democratic Government, Opposition Leader Jenny Shipley said today.
"All New Zealanders will be outraged that the democratically elected Government of a close Pacific neighbour has been overthrown.
"We support the Government's commitment to work with other nations to secure a return of democratic Government to Fiji," Mrs Shipley said.
