Don't Leave People Shivering Over Power Prices
DON’T LEAVE PEOPLE SHIVERING
OVER POWER PRICES
New
Zealand First has warned the Government not to keep the
public waiting, guessing, and shivering over power prices
during the winter.
Energy spokesperson, Peter Brown, today said that the Minister informed the House, under questioning, that now the results of the enquiry have been tabled, it could be some weeks before the Government will act on the report.
“However, there are important questions that the public and businesses should be told the answers to now, namely the following:
Will lines companies be
subject to any regulations and if so to what degree?
Will
the government act against any retail power company which is
price gouging?
Will the enquiry result in cheaper power
prices for all New Zealanders or has it all been a waste of
time and money?
The people of New Zealand deserve a prompt response!”, emphasized Peter Brown.
