Cannabis Paraphernalia Ban Effective July 1
Cannabis Paraphernalia Ban Effective July 1
Health Minister Annette King today reminded retailers and importers that a ban on importing and supplying cannabis utensils takes effect on July 1, 2000.
In June last year, a notice under the Misuse of Drugs Act to ban cannabis paraphernalia was issued, allowing retailers and importers 12 months to clear stock.
Mrs King said that retailers, wholesalers and importers found in breach of the new regulations risked a penalty of up to $1000 and/or 3 months imprisonment if charged as an individual, or $5000 for a body corporate.
