Eight Grudging Changes Wont Fix ERB
"The Finance Minister has confirmed that all business will get is eight grudging changes to the Employment Relations Bill, and no substantive change to the other 256 clauses and seven schedules in the legislation," National Industrial Relations spokesperson Max Bradford said today.
"Dr Cullen confirmed in Parliament that the eight changes he has flagged will be the extent of the Government's response to the near-universal condemnation of the Bill.
"That won't be enough to make the legislation any more palatable, and Dr Cullen knows it.
"What about the 256 other clauses?
"The Government said it would listen to business. Instead it has served up a few grudging changes and told business to like it or lump it," Mr Bradford said.
