ERB Bill Has Been In Bookshops All Day!

The Governments attempts to silence opposition MPs has become farcical, said ACT Leader, Hon Richard Prebble.

“Select Committee chair, Labour MP, Graham Kelly, has told the media that the delay in tabling the Bill until midday today, is caused by the inability to publish the Bill any faster.

“Bennetts bookshop has had the Bill available for sale to the public all day, thus demonstrating that the Government’s official reason for delaying the Bill’s tabling is false.

“The ACT Party believes the Government has been abusing Parliamentary Privilege in order to silence opposition MPs, so that the Government can put it’s own spin on the Bill.

“If the Bill is as good as the Government claims, why haven’t they released the Bill earlier?”, said Hon Richard Prebble.
