Resignation of Ruth Dyson

31 October 2000 Media Statement

Resignation of Ruth Dyson

Health Minister Annette King says she is saddened to hear of Ruth Dyson's resignation from her ministerial portfolios.

"Ruth has been of great assistance to me as Associate Minister of Health with responsibility for disability issues within the health portfolio and safety standards in health.

"These issues are often extremely complex, but Ruth quickly came to grips with them, and brought understanding, sensitivity and intellect to all her ministerial responsibilities.

"I have also valued her input into other health issues, and I believe that only those who have worked with her, in the health sector particularly, will understand the importance of her contributions."
