Gisborne Cervical Screening Inquiry

The Gisborne Cervical Screening Inquiry Report is still on track to reach Health Minister Annette King by the end of this week, and will be released in Gisborne on April 10.

Mrs King said today: "I moved the Inquiry to Gisborne because of the particular importance of the issues to the women there, and it is only right that the report should be released there too."

Mrs King will be accompanied in Gisborne by Associate Health Minister Tariana Turia. Senior Ministry of Health officials will also attend.

The report will be released at a public meeting at midday on April 10. The venue will be announced later. The meeting will be followed by a media conference.

More details will be announced later, and advertisements will be placed in local media next week.
