E-Government Strategy |
||
A media briefing will be held this week to release the Government's e-government strategy.
Details are as follows:
Date: Thursday 26 April 2001
Time: 9.15am
Venue: Old Legislative
Chamber
Parliament Buildings, Wellington
Prime
Minister Helen Clark and State Services Minister Trevor
Mallard will release details of the strategy and brief media
on how e-government fits in with broader Government
objectives, the rationale for developing strategy, and how
it will be achieved.
Trevor Mallard said e-government has the potential for positive impact on the lives of all New Zealanders.
"Whether it be shifting house, setting up a business, finding a child care centre, or looking up health information – there are ways which good delivery of e-government can ease the burden.
"The Government released its e-government vision last year. The strategy builds on that vision and outlines a work programme to achieve results," Trevor Mallard said.
