Parliament's forecourt today was venue for the Wellington
leg of a series of rallies nationwide held to mark the hand
over of the Royal Commission's report on genetic
modification. The report is being received by the Governor
General at Government House this afternoon. Green Party
co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons told the crowd gathered at
Parliament today was a day of hope for communities around
the country. Hope that New Zealand's genetic engineering
free status would continue.
