Opening - State
Houses On Maori Land
Housing Minister Mark Gosche and
Te Tai Tokerau MP Dover Samuels will open four Housing New
Zealand houses in Takou Bay, north of Kerikeri this Friday,
November 2.
These are the first State rental homes
completed on Maori land in nearly a decade.
The houses
have been built by Housing New Zealand in partnership with
Takou Trust, on land owned by the trust.
Where: Takou
Bay is 20 minutes north of Kerikeri, off State Highway 10.
Turnoff to the right soon after Te Whau. Detailed map

When: 3pm to 4.30pm this Friday, November
2.
Powhiri will be followed by ribbon cutting ceremony and
speech.
