Parliamentary Service report
Alliance whip Grant Gillon says the findings of the Parliamentary service report on the use of Alliance parliamentary resources are broadly in line with his expectations.
“It is now a matter of some public record that the parliamentary leadership of the Alliance is not very surprised about the outcome of this report,” Grant Gillon said.
“The inquiry has found that risks existed, and the caucus is steps taking steps to ensure any actual or potential problems are rectified.
“The report is concerned about the potential conflict of interest that arises because of senior party officials holding positions in parliament.
“As a result of those recommendations, changes are being made to Alliance staffing in parliament, effective immediately.”
