Car Buyers Need To Get In Quick
New Zealand families have just six months to buy a car before new Government regulations push up prices by around $4,000, ACT Transport Spokesman MP Penny Webster said today.
"Car dealers have imported enough vehicles to keep prices down for up to six months. After that, every New Zealander will have to pay more.
"The new rule was brought in against official advice. It will not work. What will happen is that people will hold on to their older cars for longer.
"All this demonstrates is the Government's complete lack of understanding of family finances. The New Zealand public will be worse off because of this interference," Mrs Webster said.
