75 Percent Of Dole Insult To Farmers
New Zealand First is appalled at the Governments offer to give flood-stricken farmers 75 percent of the dole.
“This is an insult not just to the farmers but to every hard working New Zealander,” said New Zealand First rural affairs spokesperson Doug Woolerton.
“Farmers are the backbone of this country and they should be helped in every way possible to ensure that they get back on their feet as soon as they can.
“What is wrong with a Government that punishes hard working individuals and rewards those who do nothing to contribute to New Zealand’s economy?
“It is time for this
Government to do something to help those that truly need and
deserve it. The farming community of the lower/middle North
Island has been devastated, they are struggling to survive.
”Offering the equivalent of 75 percent of the dole is
nothing short of
outrageous.
