Brash Running Scared Says Peters
Rt Hon Winston Peters has accused Don Brash of being too scared to face him in a television debate.
Earlier today Mr Peters offered to debate current issues with the National leader on TVNZ’s Holmes programme tonight after the Prime Minister was unavailable. TVNZ has since declined Mr Peters’ offer.
“It is obvious that Dr Brash refused to meet me on the Holmes programme simply because he is frightened to face me on a public platform.
“A few weeks ago when Dr Brash said he wanted to stand in an electorate, I challenged him to face me in Tauranga but he quickly ran out of town.
“Dr Brash is a virtual political leader, created by spin doctors. When the time comes for the real thing he runs away,” said Mr Peters.
