Nandor to thank What's Up? campaigners
Green MP Nándor Tánczos and Kids Help Foundation Trust Director, Grant Taylor will visit South Auckland's Randwick Park School on Monday to personally thank the pupils and staff who organised a petition to save cash-strapped youth counselling hot-line, What's Up?
"Twelve-year-old Shonam Reddy and her mates displayed the sort of social conscience that puts many adults to shame," said Nandor. "They can take much of the credit for the Government coming to the aid of What's Up?"
Green MP Sue Kedgley presented the petition to Child, Youth and Family Minister Ruth Dyson on Friday, when the Minister announced funding to assist the Kids Help Foundation Trust keep the hotline running.
