Hon Steve Maharey

Prime Minister Helen Clark said today that acting ministers for Hon Steve Maharey’s portfolios were being appointed until late July.

The acting ministers for the portfolios are:

•
Hon Ruth Dyson, Acting Minister for Social Development and Employment

• Hon Rick Barker, Acting Minister of Housing, and Acting Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector

• Hon David Benson-Pope, Acting Minister of Broadcasting

• Hon Margaret Wilson, Acting Associate Minister of Education (Tertiary Education), Acting Minister responsible for Tertiary Education Commission.

Given the layers of meta-irony involved, the saga of the Sony cyber attack seemed at the outset more like a snarky European art film than a popcorn entry at the multiplex.
