National Must Clarify Zoning Position
ACT New Zealand Education Spokesman Deborah Coddington today expressed her disappointment at the National Party's attempt to water down its policy on school zoning.
"New Zealand parents will be disappointed that National has not ruled out scrapping zoning completely.
"Labour's zoning laws have been a disaster, leading to racially segregated and crowded schools - and, now, it appears that National is having a bob each way by refusing to take a real stand on this crucial issue.
"ACT will tear
down the barriers to a quality education and give all
parents - not just the wealthy - real choice in which school
they send their children to," Miss Coddington said.
