New Zealand Leader Rodney Hide today noted that Maori Party
Co-Leader Dr Pita Sharples says his party is for all New
Zealanders and "is not separatist or divisive".
"Yeah right!
"ACT stands for colour-blind government
where laws and policies are applied irrespective of
race.
"The Maori Party, as its name suggests, and its
aims and objectives state, stands for two sets of laws
and policies: one for Maori and one for everybody
else.
"It crystallises what has been happening under
successive Labour and National Governments: racial
separatism and divisiveness," Mr Hide said.
