Press Release: The Maori Party
|
12 November 2004
We were shocked by an article that
‘Intelligence Sources say SIS investigating Maori Party’
stated Tariana Turia, Co-leader of the Maori Party
today.
“We are confident that the rumour is not correct
given the requirements of the New Zealand Security
Intelligence Service” said Mrs Turia.
The Mission
Statement of the New zealand Security Intelligence Service
has explicit requirements that “the Service does not take
any action for the purpose of further or harming the
interest of any political
party”.
