Hon Jim Anderton MP, Progressive
Leader
Open letter to Stephen Fleming and the Black
Caps
Steven Fleming and the Black
Caps,
Congratulations on your inspirational
performance on Sunday. You lifted the roof off the Telstra
dome.
In my parliamentary office we’ve been wondering
whether our favourite was the bowling, the batting or the
fielding. In the end we decided the bit that we appreciated
the most was the reaction of the Australian public and
commentators.
Good on you, good luck for tomorrow and all
the best for the series.
Warm regards
Jim
Anderton
MP for Wigram
Minister for Economic, Industry
and Regional Develpoment
Leader of the Progressive
Party.

Yet now with (a) President Barack Obama weighing in on the side of artistic freedom and calling for the US to make a ‘proportionate response’quickly followed by (b) North Korea’s entire Internet service going down, and with both these events being followed by (c) Sony deciding to backtrack and release The Interview film that had made it a target for the dastardly North Koreans in the first place, then ay caramba…the whole world will now be watching how this affair pans out.
