United Future calls for candidate
nominations
The President of United Future, Graeme
Reeves, today announced the opening of nominations for the
party’s candidates at the next general
election.
Nominations will close on 14 February 2005.
Electorate candidate selection will be finalised shortly
after 1 April 2005.
Mr Reeves said “The list ranking
process will begin on 4 April 2005.
“Party members will
have the opportunity to take part in the process through
regional candidate forums which will be arranged in specific
regions around the country during the month of April.
“The party list will be finalised around the middle of
next year,” said Mr Reeves.

Given the layers of meta-irony involved, the saga of the Sony cyber attack seemed at the outset more like a snarky European art film than a popcorn entry at the multiplex.
Yet now with (a) President Barack Obama weighing in on the side of artistic freedom and calling for the US to make a ‘proportionate response’quickly followed by (b) North Korea’s entire Internet service going down, and with both these events being followed by (c) Sony deciding to backtrack and release The Interview film that had made it a target for the dastardly North Koreans in the first place, then ay caramba…the whole world will now be watching how this affair pans out.
