Aquaculutre Reform Bill Welcomed - NZ First
New Zealand First’s primary production spokesperson Doug Woolerton says he is delighted to see the Aquaculture Reform Bill passed through the House today.
“We want to see an end to the aquaculture moratorium that has delayed progress in this vital new export industry.
“Next month regional councils and the industry can begin work.
“The Bill had a number of amendments following the select committee stages, and these were supported by New Zealand First.
“National on the other hand voted against the Bill in its entirety, proving that old-fashioned politics still has them blindfolded to the needs of New Zealand’s export industries,” said Mr Woolerton.
