Shock tactics for prison escapees

“It’s time we wrapped the perimeter of our prisons with electrified fencing,” said United Future Law & Order spokesman Marc Alexander.

“An audit into the eight prison escapes in the last year shows up a range of preventable security lapses such as; cutting through bars; access to roofs and tools; the obligatory knotted sheets; and even the use of a ladder to climb existing fencing!

“In one case it was found that three security cameras at the same time were not even operational!

“All these escapes would have been close to impossible if security could have been provided by a flick of the switch – instead of freedom these would be criminal Houdini’s would have received the shock of their lives.

“If it’s good enough for our cows then its more than good enough for our criminals.”
