National Party Finance spokesman John Key says a growing
majority of business leaders are coming to understand how
much damage Labour's 'tax and spend policies' are doing to
our economy.
"According to today's New Zealand
Herald/Auckland Chamber of Commerce survey, only 13% of the
500 members polled thought Michael Cullen was the safest
pair of hands for the economy.
"Clearly those who are
generating the wealth are not convinced that Labour has what
it takes to manage the public purse as the economy
cools.
"Fewer and fewer now trust Labour to deliver on
tax. And when it comes to roading, the sudden flurry of
spending after six years leaves many unconvinced," says Mr
Key.
