Hodgson does another Kyoto

Hapless Health Minister Pete Hodgson has yet again displayed his incompetence, this time praising the surgical performance of one DHB by using statistics from a completely different one, says National's Health spokesman, Tony Ryall.

"I doubt Annette King would ever have made this mistake."

Mr Hodgson was forced to admit to Parliament today that, in a press release he issued last month about Hawke's Bay DHB, he used statistics that actually related to Taranaki DHB.

"He was obviously aware of this but did not bother to take any steps to correct his mistake. All he does is blame his ministry.

"This is more evidence that Mr Hodgson is doing to the health system precisely what he did to Kyoto policy - completely botch it!"
