Sutton Visits Fiji to Talk Business

Press Statement

Associate Minister of Trade Negotiations Jim Sutton will visit Fiji from 1-4 June to attend the Fiji-New Zealand Business Council Meeting in Suva.

The joint Business Councils meet annually in either Fiji or New Zealand and are often attended by a ministerial representative of both the Fiji and New Zealand governments.

"This visit is a reflection of the importance New Zealand places on its bilateral trading relationship and close business connections with Fiji," Mr Sutton said today.

"It is also recognition of Fiji's leading role in regional trade."

"I am very pleased to be the first New Zealand Minister to visit Fiji since Fiji's general elections in May," said Mr Sutton.
